One Studios, located in the heart of Amsterdam, offers three state-of-the-art recording studios, a content creation studio, and a vibrant lounge. Designed as an inspiring creative home for both local and international artists, One Studios brings together the best of Sony Music, LASER, and House of Aces, in collaboration with Sony Electronics, Sony Publishing, and PlayStation.

The challenge

When Sony Music, Laser, and House of Aces launched their new recording studio in the heart of Amsterdam, they tasked us with creating an unforgettable opening event that would introduce One Studios to the world and officially open its doors.
 
The challenge was to design a concept that not only celebrated the brand’s rich musical heritage but also created a memorable experience for high-profile guests. This included artists from the Dutch and Belgian urban, hip-hop, and pop scenes, as well as key music industry figures.
 
We needed to transform a traditional launch event into something fresh and interactive, balancing creative flair, storytelling, and community engagement. This ensured every moment from entry to exit left a lasting impression and highlighted the legacy and future of Sony Music and Laser.

the idea

Sony Music, Laser, and House of Aces came to the right place, building and catering to communities is one of our core strengths. From the very first step inside, we wanted guests to experience something special and memorable. From rolling up the door to navigating throughout the building, every element of the event was designed to engage, entertaine, and not average while staying true to the brands’ identity.

the work

The traditional red-carpet moment was transformed into a mirrored carpet experience. Instead of standard wardrobe tickets, guests received playing cards to retrieve their coats and bags. Invitees could win prizes by spinning an oversized, fully branded wheel, adding an element of surprise and fun to the night.
To highlight Sony Music’s impressive artist history reflected in the memorabilia throughout One Studios, we created three video edits, displayed on an installation of vintage Sony TVs. These featured compilations of Sony’s legacy artists, Dutch talent, and the latest roster from Laser.
For snacks, we handed out pizza boxes branded with the bold slogan: Average is your enemy, a playful and memorable touch.
The event was a huge success, attended by leading artists from the Dutch and Belgian urban, hip-hop, and pop music scenes, alongside key figures from across the music industry.
